The Slave Route Museum (Museo De La Ruta Del Esclavo) is located in Matanzas, Cuba. The castle was completed in the year 1735 and later turned into what is now the slave museum. While in Cuba my classmates and I researched Afro Cuban art and culture. The Slave Route Museum captured the true essence of Afro Cuban culture.

While at Elon I travelled to Cuba with six classmates to create a website for a grassroots organization. I served as the Lead Videographer. All of the videos below were shot with a Canon 7D Mark II and edited in Adobe Premiere Pro. The title sequences was created in Adobe After Effects by my classmate on the Graphic Design team.

Jovellanos, Cuba
The Ojundegara Ensemble performed religious and traditional belief from their African roots. Their homeland is from the Arará region in Africa. All of the performers and musicians are all descendants of the same elder. This performance took place in the province of Jovellanos, Cuba.

The Sugar Mill Triunvirato is a museum that was once a Sugar Plantation that was the site of the great rebellion that ignited slave rebellion all around Cuba. Triunvirato played a pivotal role in Afro Cuban history.

Adobe After Effects
The Butterfly Project is about a butterfly's process in becoming a beautiful butterfly. This story was inspired by my love for caterpillars. I narrated this story and edited the audio in Audacity. The target audience for this story is children ages 4-8 years old. The graphics were created in Adobe Illustrator and composed in Adobe After Effects.
The Single Mothers is a story of girl named Kiarra McNeal. Kiarra was raised in a loving two-parent household with loving parents. She was a girl who excelled in academics and did everything right. When she went off to college she met her boyfriend Alex. Eventually they have a baby together and Kiarra became a single mother. This story depicts real life statistics about single mothers. This project was composed in Adobe After Effects.
